CROCHET STIFFENING AT HOME

I'd like Stiffening crochet  items because it makes more beautiful and inexpensive. You can do at home an easy method.

For this method, mix

glue and water in

equal portions

and soak your

 crocheted items in it.

 Squeeze a bit but

    don’t twist your

    crocheted article as

    you may end up

    ruining

it. Try arranging your crocheted item in different shapes until

you get the desired look, then let it dry. Note that this

    method

is permanent and cannot be washed out like other methods.

sugar and water - Boil equal portions of sugar and water

together. Let itcool a bit and dip your crocheted article

into it. Again squeeze it but not twist. This method gives

the crochet a hard look and imparts a natural feel to it.

Spray starch is very easy to use. All you need to do is

You can drape your doily over a glass bowl or pie pan

for a curved look. I like to use little  small glasses to form

     the doily
    .
wash your doily and towel dry. Lay out your item on your

prepared surface. Use a cardboard box, or anything with

a plain surface that you can pin on. Styrofoam works

great for most of these methods. Pin your crochet down

with rust proof pins and then spray with the spray starch.

    HAPPY HOOKING

    1. Of course not. But maybe. So why take chances? Get cracking on that nursery and you’ll both feel better. Better yet, pull the pregnancy card and make other people do it for you while you direct them from face-down on the couch. For more information visit this blog.... Thanks!
